Internet Explorer not responding?

My pc is only a year old, has anti virus protection, the page keeps freezing and I have a pop up saying Internet Explorer not responding, end programe, then a send error request. Why does that keep happening?

Might be your Internet provider is having difficulties. Try back a little bit later and you'll probably be fine.

Internet explorer is a pile of S#$@. Download Firefox by mozilla. Alot better security and nicer features.

For this problem go to start press run and type in sfc /scannow

This will scan all of IE's files and find any problem files. You might need a windows CD's if it finds errors. Good Luck.
keep hitting f5 or clicking refresh or keep pressing backspace and clicking on go

You might have picked up an IE hijack. You could try downloading and using HijackThis to see what addons IE has collected - you may be surprised. HijackThis is powerful and therefore dangerous to use - link to tutorial below.

Alternativly you could give up on IE and use something else instead like Firefox (I did).
I have been having the same problem with this pc i am using now,so i switched to mozzila firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/),and i havent had a problem with it
