i recently dowloaded bearshare, and although some of the other questions concerning bearshare have said that it causes a lot of viruses and things, i haven't had any problems so far. i have norton anti-virus protection as well, and this is a fairly new computer (dell inspiron 531) so i was wondering if it would be safe to continue using it? i wanna be safe, because i don't want this computer to be ruined like my other ones have. i really haven't seen any problems, and i even scanned my computer after downloading some songs, and there hasn't been a trace of any viruses. so, just to be on the safe side, should i continue using bearshare or not?
Bearshare...?anti virus scan
The Bearshare client has a bunch of adware and spyware bundled with it. The only way to be safe is to buy your music from iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody etc. Not just from malicious software but also from getting sued by the RIAA.
Bearshare...?ariel
get ready for ADWARE.
Not-
Bearshare is considered Malware- in order to use it, you have to let it through your defenses. Just because you haven't gotten a virus warning doesn't mean that it isn't doing bad things.
Also remember that just having an anti-virus program isn't enough- you need to make sure it's updated daily and that it will scan any incoming files.
i have used it before and have had no problems with it what so ever.
i had the same thing happen to me, i got bare share and the first downloaded songs were ok then after a while i started to get virus and the almost all of the songs i downloaded were poor quality....i suggest you get rid of it asap,
now i use ares... and i think its the best so far!
bear share worked for me, i just got tired of it because of how crummy the quality and how limited the selection was.
no you should not because the computer might be down you better use limewire
I think you use the free version, and some bad people make an version of bearshare public while they attached some viruses or spyware at it. The best way is to get a good version.
