A thing with AVG anti-virus?internet security software

yes it has.

just go to avg control center and click on resident shield %26gt;properties there you can turn it off..

however it's recommended that you leave it on.
yes, and you can turn it off.
well quite to say it has, more if you have a avg pro, it should work well..
most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

Good Luck !!!
AVG, is it Anti Virus Gateway. If so then it doesn't have scanning capabilities (realtime Protection) for its operating system. It only can scan the traffic that is passing through this very effectivily. Exampls: Trendmicro (IMSS, IWSS or Symantec Gateway security)
yes AVG has real-time protection. open control center and go to resident shield and open it properties and uncheck turn on AVG resident shield protection.
