OK, the program you're talking about is called 'Stop-Sign', right? This is an anti-malware scanner from eAcceleration. It was listed in the rogue/suspect programs at Spyware Warrior, see here: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti...

It was listed due to the company's history of employing deceptive advertising and drive-by-downloads. However, that has been cleaned up and it's no longer listed as rogue or suspect (but nor is it listed among the Trustworthy Anti-Spyware Products: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti... ).

You *should* only have this on your pc if you chose to download and install it. It should have its own uninstaller, so check where-ever you keep your program files, usually C:/Program Files. If you find a file called StopSign or eAcceleration, check it for an uninstaller. If there is one, run it. That should uninstall it. Otherwise look in Add/Remove programs: Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Add or Remove programs.

Good luck.

Well done! Bet you're pleased about that. If that was your main anti-virus.anti/spyware program you need to get another p.d.q. I'd go with Avast for AV and AVG for anti-spyware, you won't go far wrong with those. Just give your pc a full scan to make sure there's nothing hiding there. Report It
