I have been running Avast Home edition (free) on 2 desktops and laptop all running at about 1.5 and 500 MB -1 gig ram for the last 2 years along with Zone Alarm Personal Firewall (free). No conflicts, no viruses, no hacks, no overly horrible lag.

Norton cost me almost $100 then let in viruses that cost me weeks of re-installs, re-formatting and poor customer service.

When I phone a # that says English/Canada, I expect the person to speak English.

Avast has a lot of options for personal choices on what is running and what is not. It is simple enough for most users to configure. It has caught the website/pop up nasties numerous times and monitors your temp files.

I tried Avg and have a few friends that like it (They still get nailed) but I did not like the interface, options or accuracy.

Plus, Avast has a cool voice info/pop up that kicks the little You've Got Mail guys butt.
