Flashdrive question!?norton 360

Anti-virus programs are pretty integrated into your OS, so it's best to have them on the computer hardrive.

Maybe take and move some data to the flashdrive to clear up the space?
Depends on the program. One as big as you say is probably integrated into the operating system and other applications such a your web browser, email, ect. It should reside on the same drive as your operating system. It very likely ahs a built in prohibition that will not let you install it on any other drive except the one with the OS. If your computer is being bogged down because this program uses too much RAM when running, the flash drive idea wouldn't help anyway, because everytime the AV program loaded, it loades into the necessary portion of RAM anyway. If it is hard drive space that you need, HD's are cheap and easy to install, so it's probably either 1) time to upgrade, or 2) time to start deleting some old stuff off that baby.
there are antiviruses meant for the usb flashdrive.....or meant to protect the usb disk but i am uncertain of its true effectivity in curbing viruses. i came accross one search..do check.............

antivirus flash disk 禄 install antivirus in flash disk ... The program can install itself to a removable disk Allows to have access to the encrypted disk ...

yes you can acutally run your anti-virus program straight from your flash drive because once you plug the flash drive in your computer..the computer sees it as an another hard drive!!
